West window

Holy Trinity Church, LLandudno

This lovely west window, with its unusual red stripes above the figures, is a recent acquisition. As inscribed on the window itself, it was originally in St Augustine's, Cheadle Heath, in Stockport, a church built by local architects there, Preston & Vaughan, and completed in 1893 (Hubbard and Pevsner 345). It was the work of A. L. Moore, and is likely to be late Victorian/early twentieth century. It is part of a larger window which, along with the Annunciation and Nativity, also depicted scenes of the Crucifixion and the Deposition (the Descent from the Cross). There are plans to instal the remaining panels elsewhere in Holy Trinity. The west window itself was installed in the church only in 2012, and dedicated anew on 12 May 2013.
