St Nicholas and St Luke

South Chapel
St Matthias
Friars Stile Road, Richmond
This is another in the series of World War I memorial windows showing saints, some with armed services insignia in the tracery. In this case the symbol is the rod of Asclepius, indicating medical service, and the choice of saints (St Nicholas the patron saint of seafarers, holding a model of a ship, and St Luke the physician), suggests that the person memorialised here was a doctor.
