Endpapers by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. 7½ x 9 ¾. Coloured wood-blocks. This elegant design, in the manner of Aestheticism, features in Rossetti’s Poems. In direct echo of its cover (also by Rossetti), it set new standards and was widely emulated by Art Nouveau books of the ’90s.
