Biography
After studying with an uncle in Winchester as a boy, he becan the student of Richard Westmacott at the Royal Academy, where he exhibited busts, medallions and mythological groups between 1829-59. He created a number of works in wax, one of which was mistaken for a work by Leonardo in the early 1900s.
