The pioneering photographer Julia Cameron was not beautiful, and Watts could not make her so. But the two were close friends, and he did full justice here to her extravagantly compassionate nature: "She had an unstoppable desire to help her fellow man in every conceivable way (Roberts 48). — Jacqueline Banerjee
