Sunset, Constantinople by Baillie Hamilton (fl. 1889-90). Watercolour, 17 x 27 inches. Signed with initials and dated 1919. Exhibited Royal Academy 1920. “Baillie Hamilton is the family name of the Earls of Haddington, of Mellerstain House in Berwickshire, A gifted amateur of that family has painted this atmospheric study” (Maas catalogue).
