This painting makes up a pair, together with The artist's label reads 'Ogwen Bridge / Pass of Nant Francon / George Cockram / Conway / 1892'. This impressive exhibition watercolour, which is in its original Jackson frame (though without a framing label), predates Cockram's move to Rhosnegir.

The Western Mail (June 1892) singled out this watercolour in its review of the R.C.A exhibition "In Ogwen Bridge, Nant Francon, George Cockram sends a work not less good than that which the Royal Academy in London has brought him the honour of a purchase under the Chantrey Request" (i.e. Solitude, purchased from the Royal Academy exhibition earlier that year). — Charles Nugent
