Hope, Charity and Faith, from designs by Sir Edward Burne-Jones (1833-1898). Made by Morris & Co., this was installed as the east window in the Lady Chapel of Richard Norman Shaw's All Saints, Leek in 1887. The design is often seen, and dates from the 1860s: "at Bicester is a window of 1866 with Faith, Hope, and Charity, a design frequently to be repeated" (Sherwood and Pevsner 374). There too it is described as being in the east window of a south chapel, at St Edburg's in Bicester. On our own site, Hope also appears, though in different colours, in a window in St Martin's Church, Brampton, Cumbria, and Charity appears in, for example, St Cybi's Church, Holyhead.
