Beck explains that this mezzotint, which Dixon & Ross, a London firm, published, reproduces the artist’s 1848 painting of “Serjeant Ewart of the Scottish Greys taking the Eagle from the 45th Regiment, ‘The Invincibles,’ at Waterloo, 18 June 1815” (60).
