Christ and the Doctors by Edward Jenkin Prest (1857-1934), c.1902, in the north chapel of St Augustine, Highgate, London. The photograph on the right shows the central figures in more detail. Above them, as in the Nativity window by Prest, is the prophet Isaiah. This window seems to catch Jesus at the very point when he tells Mary and Joseph, who have found him teaching in the temple, "wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" (Luke 2, 49). Appropriately, the window commemorates the Rev. William Montague Higginson, who was a priest of the church and who died on 8 April 1902. [Click on the images to enlarge them].
