According to Father Stephenson's history of the church and its decorations, which points out that this was the church's first window, the scenes are (lower left) Mary Magdalene supporting Mary as Christ is taken down from the cross; (upper left) "bringing spices and ointment" for the entombment; (upper right) the risen Christ appears to her; (lower right) the angel tells Mary, "He is not here."
