West Window (Crucifixion and Last Judgement)

John Hardman & Co.

1856

St. Michael and All Angels, Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire

Henry Woodyer, the architect of the church (originally a college chapel) often worked with Hardman, and there is a splendid set of Hardman windows here. In fact, Michael Fisher called this one of Hardman's "more notable" commissions (83). The west window shows the crucifixion on the left, and the Last Judgment on the right, and cost £445.00 (see Austin 109).
