Window about the Covenant

Clayton & Bell

Keble Chapel

St Peter's, Bournemouth

This inspiring window, above the sacristy door in the east wall of the chapel, is vibrant in colour and dynamic in form. It shows Noah reaching upwards, above the rainbow, and Moses, with the Ten Commandments, head tilted right back: both look towards the events to come in the New Testament: the Ascension and Pentecost. It is highly appropriate, because John Keble himself was especially interested in Biblical typology. Notice the stencilled surround in this richly decorated chapel.
