The Nativity; the Adoration of the Magi; the flight into Egypt; and Jesus and the Holy Family in the carpenter's shop in Nazareth. This is the lower south window of two four-light windows by Percy Bacon Bros., in the southwest transept at St Peter's, Bournemouth. They were both installed in 1896. The choir of angels in the tracery lights, and the musician angels at the tops of each panel, have magnificently coloured wings.
The angels at the top of the two central scenes, and on the lower left and right sides, hold scrolls bearing images. The left-hand one shows tools. These, together with the choice of the scene of Jesus in the carpenter's shop, might suggest the profession of the window's donor, or that of the person to whom the window was dedicated — possibly engineering?
