This striking design by Nellie Syrett is another example of the important contribution made by female artists. Syrett’s image is part-Pre-Raphaelite, part Art Nouveau, hinting at the stylistic connection between the two idioms. The elegant line of the women’s costumes is a feature of this artist’s work.
