Binding

Owen Jones; unsigned.

1848.

Laminated paper with a chromolithographic pattern pasted on board.

8 x 5½ inches

One of Jones’s commercial bindings, made of laminated paper and cardboard. The composition is delicate, but the production values poor; the spine was too weak to support the covers and most surviving copies have been re-backed.
