After the Victory
Dalziel, artist & engraver
Fun 5 (7 September 1867): 271.
Disraeli, dressed as a pirate, sits on a barrel upon which appear the words “Gun Powder,” “House Suffrage,” and “Reform Bill” while the lit fuse of “General Election” burns right against the barrel. Bright, smoking a cigar, sits to Dizzy’s left, and a dejected Gladstone, who seems to have his hands tied, sits behind.
