. Interestingly, this plate, unlike the other three on this page, has the style found in late twentieth- and twenty-first century comic books and graphic novels. And of course, the notion of technology-as-beauty that grew out of Ruskinian emphasis that form must follow function has appeared in much architecture and sculpture. Think of the Pompidou Centre in Paris, or for that matter any exposed heating pipes and electric conduits painted in bright primary colors. Source:Related material
