Spring flowers, detail of window
N. H. J. Westlake (1833-1921)
1905 onwards (one of a series)
The New West End Synagogue
St Petersburgh Place
London W2 4JT
Westlake's stained glass is one of the later features of this highly decorated synagogue. The series of 40 side windows not only adds "further interest" ("New West End Synagogue"), but introduces a touch of nature, particularly refreshing in the synagogue's busy urban context.
