The Last Supper, east window in Christ Church, Esher. Ninian Comper, 1911 (see Eberhard). According to the inscription on the window itself, it is in memory of Rev. Evelyn Joseph Hone, Rector of Esher, 1895-1908, who died in 1908. He had been Chaplain of King's College, London, 1869-70 (Calendar, 504). The window shows a young-looking Christ figure, with the Holy Ghost in the form of a dove above, flanked by King Alfred and St Binn on the left, and St George and St Wynfrith on the right. The scene of the Last Supper is shown below. The window is enriched by a good deal of heraldry as well.
