Alfred Drury, R.A., 1856-1944.

Signed and dated: A. Drury 08

Bronze

60 cm. high

Private collection

This reduced-sized bronze differs in several details from the version of this subject on the façade of the Victoria & Albert Museum: to begin with, the robe drapes over the base of the statue far more than it does in the stone version, and the bronze depicts both the clasp of the cape and the folds in the fabric above the figure's belt differently.
