The Light of the World

After William Holman Hunt

Colored print

I took this very poor photograph in a cottage in Cregneash, a museum village on the Isle of Man. The streaks of light are reflections on the glass covering the print.

This print, probably a lithograph, follows the weaker version in St. Paul’s Cathedral, much of which was painted by Hunt’s studio assistant as he was losing his sight. — George P. Landow
