The Boston Museum of Fine Arts refers to this drawing as Miranda (?). Betty Elzea describes it as: "Bust of a young woman facing front, her head and eyes turned half to left. Her long wavy hair is swept behind her left (nude) shoulder and comes forward over her right shoulder and breast" (283). [Commentary continues below.]
