This is an illustration from Adelaide Anne Procter's Legends and Lyrics: Second Series, published by Bell and Daldy in London in 1866 on page 321. It features a young girl who has gathered a bouquet of primroses in a wooded Spring landscape, standing between a tree and a dense growth of bushes. A younger child observes her and follows behind. The foreground is a meadow with many wild flowers. In the background is a thicket of trees and many birds are flying in the sky overhead.
