Dr. Carmen Casaliggi is a part-time lecturer for the School of European Culture and Languages at the University of Kent, where she has completed her Ph.D. in 2004 with a doctoral thesis on Ruskin and Turner. Her research interests include the interrelationship between literature and the visual arts; Anglo-Italian cultural and artistic relations in the 19th and early 20th century; 19th-century Italian and British writings on art; fin-de-siècle European culture. She is currently working on a monograph entitled Ruskin, Turner and The Harbours of England and she is co-editor of a collection of essays entitled Ruskin in Perspective -- Twenty-First Century Ruskin.
