Mª Soliña Barreiro González es doctora en Comunicación Social por la Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona. Cursó la Licenciatura de Periodismo en la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela y la Licenciatura en Historia por la Universitat de Barcelona.
Para la realización de su tesis contó con el soporte de una beca FI de la Generalitat de Catalunya y una beca BE de la misma institución, con la que realizó una estancia de investigación en París en el grupo ARIAS (Atelier de Recherche sur l’Intermédialité et les Arts du Spectacle) del que participan tres organismos de investigación (CNRS, Sorbonne III, École Normale Superiéure).
Además de impartir Historia del Cine en el grado de Comunicación Audiovisual de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra entre 2008 y 2010, ha publicado diversos artículos sobre cine de vanguardia, como “El origen del cine-ojo: Dziga Vertov en Petrogrado y Moscú 1914-1918”, La Balsa de la Medusa, nº3, 2011, y ha participado en numerosos congresos internacionales como el Film & History Conference (2008) en Chicago (“Reversible Time in Avant-garde Cinema (1919-1933) Time travel, time criticism and playful time”), la Conference of the European Network for Avant-Garde and Modernism Studies (2010) en Poznan, Polonia (“Cinema as a machine to release time and space in Dziga Vertov’s work”) o en la International Conference Outline of the modern city (2010) en Bucarest (“Time mechanization in the modern city though 20’s Avant-Garde Cinema”).

Mª Soliña Barreiro González has a PhD in Social Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She has obtained her Degree in Journalism at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and her Degree in History at Universitat de Barcelona.
In order to expand her thesis, she has obtained a FI research fellowship and a BE research fellowship, both of them awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has done a research stage in Paris in the research group ARIAS (Atelier de Recherche sur l’Intermédialité et les Arts du Spectacle), coparticipated by three research organisms (CNRS, Sorbonne III, École Normale Superiéure).
