Elijah with the ravens by Mayer & Co., 1885, in a larger window in the Cathedral Church of St Deiniol, Bangor, N. Wales. The text below this light is: "I have commanded the ravens to feed thee," from 1 Kings, 17. 4. It is from a pair of two-light windows in the south wall of the transept, which were given in memory of Henry Thomas Edwards. Edwards was Dean of Bangor from 1876-1884, and had been a leading figure in its restoration. Sadly, he suffered from depression and committed suicide. Elizabeth Atcherley-Symes, who gave the window as well as the reredos, was a local benefactor who also built St David's Church, Bangor (with architect Sir Arthur Blomfield, and more windows by Mayer & Co.), in the Dean's memory. However, St David's has since closed.
