It's not just like the Christmas time
We celebrate at home,
There's nothing here of snow or rime;
But still the ﬂagons foam,
And we keep the feast in the good old way—
With “Here's to the King! Hip, Hip, Hooray!”
And, when the fun‘s well started,
The Colonel comes along,
So genial and true-hearted —
We give his health in song;
And he in turn this toast will call —
“Good luck, my men, attend you all!”
