MR. PICKWICK. (The Pickwick Papers.)

The delightfully innocent, and lovable elderly hero of the Papers bearing his name. If, in the opening chapters, Mr. Pickwick appears to be but one remove from an imbecile, yet, as the story progresses, his simplicity, humanity, kindliness of heart and never-failing generosity rapidly gain the affections of his countless friends, and earn their admiration and love for all time.
