George Cruikshank's Fairy Library consists of four short stories published individually in 1853: "Hop-o' My-Thumb," "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Cinderella," and "Puss in Boots." Cruikshank was already a distinguished caricaturist and illustrator of books for both children and adults when he produced this work.
