The neo-Gothic palace in Starawies

The neo-Gothic palace in Starawies. 1866-1871. This astonishing palace in the village of Starawies, about 9 kilometres from Wegrow in central-eastern Poland, on the border between the Masovia and Podlasie Regions, resembles an Elizabethan castle. Its origins date back to the seventeenth century, but it was completely redesigned in the years 1866-1871 according to the principles of the Gothic Revival. The palace, surrounded by an English park, is considered to be one of the best examples of neo-Gothic secular architecture in Poland.
