Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich

Old Royal Naval College (formerly the Greenwich Hospital). Sir Christopher Wren, Nicholas Hawksmoor, Sir John Vanbrugh and others (see Weinreb et al. 728-9). 1694-1742. Greenwich, London SE10. It now houses the University of Greenwich and Trinity College of Music. The fine landscaping, dating from the mid-nineteenth century, was by Philip Hardwick, then Surveyor to the Greenwich Hospital.
