Left: Pulpit for Llantrithyd church, Vale of Glamorgan, designed by G. E. Halliday (1857–1922). Right: The cross on the front. This pulpit is very similar to the pulpit in St George's church, Cwmparc, Treorchy, which Halliday also designed. However, the Penarth alabaster cross is of a different design to that of St George's, and here the quatrafoil has been decorated with delicately carved floral designs which show how well-suited Quarella stone is for this purpose. Some of the designs (those on the right) seem to show little creatures, but are probably just scrolled leaves. It is really beautifully carved, from the workshops of W. Clarke, Llandaff.
