This house, built by Emmanuele Galizia (1830-1906), once stood on Sliema High Street, Malta, but unfortunately has since been demolished. It is in a much more typically Maltese style than his Moorish houses in Rudolph Street, and is another proof of the architect's versatility.
Photograph kindly provided by Robert Galea-Naudi, great-great-grandson of the architect. It was taken by his father in the 1950s, and comes from his own collection. [Click on the picture to enlarge it.] Text and formatting by Jacqueline Banerjee.
