Chancel Screen, St. Matthias, Richmond. Designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield in 1889, and made of oak, this helped to answer the objections of early reviewers who found the church too austere, and actually noted that there was no screen to relieve the chilly interior (see Brown, in "Related Material").
