According to the museum label, “Little is known about this bronze effigy of G. F. Watts holding a palette. Previus labels have presented the sculpture as ‘G. F. Watts OMRA” by Henry Poole R.A. Presented” by Mr. Arthur Spencer in Grateful Memory of his Wife Amy Spencer and in Admiration of a Great Artist.’ There is no known date for production.”
