John Hardman Powell (1827-1895)

Powell was John Hardman's nephew and Pugin's pupil at The Grange, Pugin's house in Ramsgate, Kent. He later married Pugin's eldest daughter Anne, and was buried in the chantry of The Grange. His designs are said to have been "somewhat softer in appearance than Pugin's" (Eatwell and Gosling).
