  • “Like Goscombe John, thomas was one of the founding fathers of the National Museum of Wales. Born in Pontypool, he worked as an artist and illustrator in London, before settling in Cardiff. He was active in the National Eisteddfod and the Gorsedd of Bards, and was a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy. He was also a leading figure in the Cardiff Naturalists Society” (museum label).
