A Path in the New Forest

Wilfrid Ball, RBA, RE (1853-1917)

Before 1917

Coloured reproduction of a watercolour

Property of Arthur R. Moro, Esq.

Hind 151

Forest scenery was popular with water-colourists, and Ball has made a bold central feature of the gnarled old tree beside the meandering stream. Two tiny figures can be seen on the path, distantly, in the background. It is a mellow, autumnal day.
