The Star Inn, Alfriston by Wilfrid Ball, RBA. RE (1853-1917) c. 1906. Watercolour illustration in Ball, facing p. 94. Described by Ball as being "just behind Beachey Head" on the south coast near Eastbourne (92), and as "a very old village" (179), Alfriston is a favourite with tourists and artists, and among its main attractions is this very inn.
