Adrian Powter was born in Cambridge and graduated in 1997 with a BA in Music from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. Thereafter he pursued a career as a freelance opera singer, retiring from the profession in 2017. During his time travelling, Adrian developed a keen interest in photography, in particular church architecture and stained glass. This led to him spending a great deal of his free time in churches and he decided to take on a volunteer position with the Churches Conservation Trust in the Cambs/Herts/Beds area. As well as duties specific to the role he has taken on several photographic assignments for The CCT and has built up a programme of events for his local church of Duxford St John's as well as helping to keep All Saints' Church, Cambridge open for visitors. Adrian shares his photos on Instagram and Twitter under the username @badger_beard.
