Janelle Pötzsch studied philosophy and English literature at Ruhr-Universität in Bochum, Germany, where she also obtained a PhD in applied ethics. She is currently Assistant Professor of philosophy at Paderborn University, Germany. Her research focuses on philosophy of economics, political philosophy, and philosophy of literature. She has published on Jonathan Swift (Lexington, 2016) and Jane Austen (Rowman & Littlefield, 2016), among others, and is embarking on a habilitation treatise on Harriet Taylor Mill.
