Glanville Lumber Co. Caboose. This large caboose, which is rather grand for the tiny Glanville Lumber Co., contrasts with its more characterstic old-time 4-wheeler. Rumor has it that Joe Glanville obtained it from the Albion Pawtuxet & Galilee as settlement for one of Augustus Melmotte's poker debts. Whether or not that story is true, this wood caboose with diagonal bracing ended its days in Glanville colors. [Click on images to enlarge them.]

I obtained this all metal car that had been assembled from a kit dating back to the early days of modeling from a friend in 1979 or '80. I then painted it in Glanville colors and added decals. [GPL]
