
This scratchbuilt model took six months and a great deal of styrene to create. I used a Walthers conveyor and a few roof assemblies scavenged from a Fine Scale Miniature lumber mill that was accidentally destroyed when we moved around 2000.





A GE 50-tonner comes through the tunnel with two covered hoppers for the quarry’s ground limestone.

This view of the main two buildings shows an earlier version of the crusher at the right, which I modified to look as if the roof were being replaced, which allowed the viewer to see some of the details inside the building.
