When I was living at 38 Lee Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts, I set myself the task of photographing what I could find of interest within a few feet of our front door. This old Cambridge brick sidewalk after rain has always been one of my favorite pictures, mostly, I suppose, because of the texture and because it was right there before me.
