The Garden at Lamb House, Rye. This gives a glimpse of the "three quarters of an acre of brick-walled English garden," perhaps specifically one of the "little brick courts" that William James mentioned, on coming to visit his brother here in 1889 (111). But it doesn't show the out-houses to which he also refers. James had a fine Garden Room here, which was unfortunately bombed during World War II.
