The Epiphany, or The Adoration of the Magi by C. E. Kempe & Co., 1910 (as recorded in the Winchester Diocesan Chronicle of that November). This window is behind the altar at the apsidal end of the south choir aisle in St Anne’s Chapel in Romsey Abbey. Like the Abbey's south choir aisle window (2) showing Jesus in the Temple, which dates from the same time, the Epiphany window was given in memory of the Hon. Evelyn Ashley (Edwina Mountbatten’s grandfather) of Broadlands, who died in 1907. Both designs are rather dark, especially the Magi in this one — relieved, however, by lighter canopied decoration at the top.
