The original glass in this window simply showed the Annunciation over the Nativity, but the two outer lights that were added later depict some less conventional ones. In the upper part of the window, the left hand light shows the Virgin Mary with Jesus and St. John the Baptist as children; on the other side of the The Annunciation, Mary is shown with three saints, also as children: "St. James the Less (carrying a cudgel), St. Simon (carrying a saw) and St. Jude (carrying a boat)" ("Geddington's Stained Glass"). It seems strange to see them in childhood with their instruments of martyrdom. Below, on either side of the Nativity, are Mary herself in girlhood, with her mother Anne, and the older Mary with the resurrected Christ. Unusually, Jesus is holding the English flag of St George. An interesting, bolder window then, predominantly blue as one might expect in the Lady Chapel.
