Arriving in the nick of time, one of Bluebeard's brothers-in-law grabs him by the beard; the other, a knight, prepares to slay him. Sister Anne peeps from behind the curtain. The brothers and sisters live happily ever after, not quite the usual fairytale ending, but the only one possible in the circumstances.
