The Adoration of the Magi

Designed and executed by Sidney Meteyard

c. 1905-06

"Limoges enamel panel"

This was shown at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition held at the Grafton Gallery in 1906. A preliminary drawing for the enamel is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada, accession no. 45768. The enamel panel follows the design in the drawing very closely. In the 1890s Meteyard had taught the studio side of enamelling at the Birmingham School of Art.
